Ann Kirksey passed away at her home, Saturday, October 14, 2023. A graveside service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Crowell Cemetery with Rev. Monte Lumpkin officiating.  Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m., Thursday evening, at Smith Funeral Home in Quanah.

Ann Ruth Greening was born July 24, 1951, in Quanah, Texas to Wayne and Virginia Musgrove Greening. She was a Quanah High School graduate and the Riding Club Queen in 1969. She married John Kirksey in 1983; she raised two daughters; and graduated from nursing school in 1992. She was a dedicated nurse who always put others before herself. She was a big giver and loved taking care of everyone.

Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer Edwards of Quanah, and Jill Roberts of Wichita Falls; grandsons, Zachary O'Neal, James Edwards, Spenser Edwards, Brady Roberts, and Caden Roberts, who affectionately called her "Mamie"; great grandchildren, Nicky Edwards, Josey Edwards, Emery Edwards, Elliott Edwards, and Ella Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Mike Greening; and her husband, Mike Kirksey.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Humane Society or the WGH Foundation.
