Betty Jo Williams, 88, passed away Sunday evening, September 29, 2019, at her home in Quanah.

A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Quanah., with Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Betty was born May 22, 1931 in Hart, Oklahoma, to Dan S. and Bertha Ellen (McGee) Summers. After retiring from the U.S. Postal Service in 1998, Betty moved to Quanah, where she became a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Vivian Andrea Williams and Paula Jo Jacquez, both of Quanah; one son, Doyle Clint Williams of Quanah; one brother-in-law, Vaden Kirby of Dimmitt, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Betty Jo was preceded in death by 2 sons, Don Clemet Williams and Rodney Gail Williams; 2 grandchildren; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
