Billy Hopkins passed away Tuesday morning, January 18, 2022.  A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 21 ^st at the First Christian Church in Quanah with Dr. Darrell Monday officiating.

Billy E.E. Hopkins was born October 30, 1936 in Thalia, Texas to the late Delmer Thad Hopkins and Pauline Blevins Hopkins. He was a 1955 graduate of Crowell High School. Billy married Charlene Borchardt on January 21, 1955 in Frederick, Oklahoma, and together they raised four children. They made their home in Quanah where they've lived most of their lives. Billy was a long time member of the Jaycees; and a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Hopkins of Quanah; 1 son, Jerry Hopkins of Brady, Montana; 2 daughters, Cathy Johnson of Iowa Park, and Spring Bursey of Quanah; 2 brothers, Delmer Thad Hopkins, Jr., of Fort Worth, and Larry Dean Hopkins of Hermleigh, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Jody Campsey of Iowa Park, Chloe Johnson of Kokomo, Indiana, and Daicia Hobson of Iola, Texas; and one great grandson, Hagen Hobson. Billy was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Hopkins; and a brother, Kenneth Hopkins.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Christian Church, P.O. Box 356, Quanah, Texas 79252.
