"Gene" Naron, of Quanah, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 19, 2023 in Wichita Falls.

Blanche Geneva Naron was born to Linda Sue Parkhill and Oliver Haskell Jones on September 9, 1933 in Foard County, Texas. She grew up in Crowell where she met Jimmie Naron.  They married on November 18, 1951 and to this union was born James William Naron and Charyl Jean Naron. Jimmie and Gene were longtime Quanah residents and were well known and loved across the community.

Surviving her passing are two brothers, Claude Dean Sellers and Kenneth Roy Sellers; her three children, James William Naron and his wife Ann, Charyl Jean Naron, and Josie King (her adopted daughter); 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie, and her sister, Mary Ruth Ostrander.
