Bobby Joe Bailey, 66, passed away Thursday morning, July 13, 2023 in Vernon, Texas. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19th at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Doby officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park.

Bobby was born in Corsicana, Texas, September 18, 1956 to the late J.T. and Ludene Mitchell Bailey. They moved to Quanah in 1971 and he attended school at Quanah ISD through the 10th grade. He moved to Vernon in 2008.

Survivors include cousins Caroline Mitchell, Dwayne Mitchell, Byron Mitchell, Adrian Mitchell, Waketia Mitchell, Vincent Ray Mitchell, and Kevin Mitchell, all of Quanah.
