Bobby Keith Copenhaver, age 82, of Quanah, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Keith loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, riding horses, and working cattle. He also loved watching Western television shows and had a deep appreciation for the Western way of life.

Throughout his life, Keith wore many hats. He worked as a truck driver and roofer, earned his pilot’s license, and enjoyed flying planes. He was an adventurous man who was never afraid to try something new or pursue something he wanted to do.

Keith was a wonderful storyteller who loved a good joke. He enjoyed horse races, playing poker, dominoes, and various games where family and friends could gather and have a good time. He brought laughter and energy to every party or get-together and was always the life of the party.

Keith was a Mason and a man who believed in doing things his own way. He did not simply talk about the things he wanted to do—he did them. He did not just talk the talk; he walked the walk. Keith lived life on his own terms, followed his dreams, and made sure to experience all that life had to offer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Ruve Copenhaver of Grand Saline, Texas, and his brother, Lamar Copenhaver.

Keith is survived by his loving daughters, Tracy Hardin and her husband, Tim Hardin, of Decatur, Texas, and Natha Lee Copenhaver of Bridgeport, Texas; three grandchildren, John Robert Keith Daugherty, Ruve Lu’Jean Cooley, and Shawn Wood; three great-grandchildren, James William Houston Cooley, Colton Wood, and Maverick Wood; his beloved dog, Rowdy; and numerous wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Keith leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, adventures, and memories that will live on in all who knew and loved him. He was one of a kind and will be deeply missed.
