Bobby Gene Link, of Quanah, passed away Thursday, December 5 ^th , 2019 in Vernon.  He was 80. A funeral service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2019 at the First Assembly of God Church in Quanah, with Rev. Jeremy Walters officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under direction of Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Sunday evening at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Bobby was born April 24, 1939 in Durant, Oklahoma to Jessie P. and Velma (Deel) Link. He married Myrtle Gilbert on January 10, 1963 in Quanah.  Bobby enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved his grandchildren.  He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Link of Quanah; a son, Presley Gene Link and wife Danna Rachelle of New Home, Texas; 1 daughter, Laura Coker and husband Ricky of Vernon, Texas; a brother, Donald Lee Link of Harrah, Oklahoma; 3 sisters, JoAnn Hale of Quanah, Mona Link of Dallas, and Brenda Kirkpatrick; and grandchildren, Heath, Dylan, Ashton, Cheyenne, and Zane.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
