Our dear "Nanu", Caroline Teller Simmons, sadly passed away early Saturday morning, August 5, 2023, at the age of 77. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and students and was a well-loved member of the community.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Virginia Teller; sister, Louise Teller; children, Mark, Jr., Melissa, and Kristin; and grandson Luke Hamby. She is survived by her husband, Mark; daughter, Jennifer Hamby and husband John; son, John and wife Adrian; two granddaughters, Makayla and Ashlyn Simmons; and one grandson, Weston Simons; with several "grand dogs".

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Quanah Volunteer Fire Department.

A visitation celebrating her life will be held from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
