Cecilia Lee Basye, 64, of Quanah, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23 ^rd , at Quanah Memorial Park. Dr. David Smith will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Cecilia was born August 9, 1956 in Denver, Colorado to Joyce Basye. She graduated from Westminster High School in 1975.  She worked many years in the mental health care field in Colorado and the North Texas State Hospital.

Survivors include Gerardo "Lalo" Hernandez of the home; 1 daughter, Janea Vireagus of Quanah; 2 granddaughters, who were the light of her life and whom she raised, Erica Vireagus (Juan), Emily Vireagus, and grandson, Jayden Lopez, all of Quanah; 3 sisters, Ramona DesGranges of Crestview Florida, Sherry Jones (Richard) of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, Janice Davis of Quanah; and 1 brother, Greg Basye (Janet) of Shalimar, Florida.
