Raford Horn passed away Saturday morning, May 18, 2024 in Wichita Falls, Texas. A graveside service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 23rd at Quanah Memorial Park with Mr. Danny McMahan officiating.
Charles Raford Horn was born in Quanah, November 17, 1944 to Travis Guy Horn and Helen Fletcher Horn. He attended Quanah High School and played on the 1961 State Football Team as a linebacker before moving to Center. He was a lifelong fan of the Quanah Indians; and was very proud to have received his high school diploma as a Quanah Indian. Raford never met a stranger and was very active in the Quanah Outreach Center. He loved playing baseball and participated in Special Olympics for many years. Raford was also a diehard Dallas Cowboy's fan.
He is survived by his brother, Travis Horn of Quanah; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Joe Horn; and a sister, Barbara O'Neal.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Quanah Booster Club or QHS Alumni Scholarship Fund.
