Chris Shelton, 51, of Quanah, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He was cremated according to his wishes, and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Chris was born on May 9, 1974, in Quanah, Texas, to Vernon "Smokey" Shelton and Linda Harris Shelton. He was primarily raised by his beloved grandparents, Dorothy and Guy Stevens. On May 3, 1996, he married Regina Campsey, and together they built a life full of love and faith.

A proud member of Pease River Cowboy Church, Chris had an evangelistic heart and loved sharing the word of God. He was a talented engine mechanic who could fix anything and was known as a skilled businessman. He had a deep love for the outdoors, spending his time fishing, boating, and enjoying nature.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Regina Shelton of Quanah.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents; uncles, Mark Harris, Jewell Harris, and Dewey Harris; and his grandparents, Dorothy and Guy Stevens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pease River Cowboy Church Youth.
