Danny Morris, 72, of Quanah, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020. A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Quanah Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, at Smith Funeral Home.

Danny was born on June 2, 1948 in Quanah, Texas to Clarence Evans and Beulah Faye Morris. He married Twana La Rue Penn on July 15, 1966. Danny graduated from Quanah High School in 1966 and attended Cisco Junior College and Midwestern University.  He was employed by Georgia Pacific as a plant superintendent until retirement in 2000.  He attended First Baptist Church in Quanah.

He enjoyed any and all sports and played football, basketball, and ran track during his school years and later was part of outsiders basketball and softball leagues for many years.  He also was an avid golfer.  Over the last several years he enjoyed helping at Pat's Video where many people mistakenly knew him as "Pat".

Danny is survived by his wife of 54 years; children, Patrick Morris of Quanah and Jimmy Don Morris and wife Shayla of Azle, Texas; his greatly loved grandchildren, Jordan Morris and wife Corina, Nathan Morris and wife Megan, Calista Morris, Brendan Webb, and Ireland Morris; great grandchildren Landon, Callan, and Amelia Morris, and Madilyn Morris.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Francis Wheeler and Faydean Brandon; brothers, Charles Morris and Jimmie Morris.
