Daryl Hardin Henderson, 71, passed away Sunday evening, December 7, 2025, at his home in Quanah, surrounded by his loving family.

Daryl was born October 7, 1954, in Quanah to Bud and Delight (Hardin) Henderson. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's degree and went on to build a rich and varied life filled with curiosity, adventure, and devotion to the people he loved.

Daryl married the love of his life, Kitty Lindsey, on December 13, 1998, in Quanah. He worked as an insurance agent with his father beginning in the early 1980s and later owned the agency along with his wife.  At his passing, he worked as a corporate pilot for Bridwell Oil in Wichita Falls.   He shared his skills and passions as a calf and team roper in high school and college, ski instructor, ag teacher, flight instructor, and scuba diver. A gifted underwater and aerial photographer, he had a keen eye for beauty and an appreciation for the world around him. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, reader, traveler, beach lover, and—above all—a family man whose greatest joy came from the people closest to him.

Daryl was a longtime member of First Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kitty Henderson of Quanah; his children, Zane Henderson and wife Kate of Quanah, Leeza Henderson Stone and husband Tye of Fredericksburg, and Carson Henderson of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Jack, Mac, and Rocky; his sister, Kim Cooper and husband Buzz of Iola; nephews, Bonner Cooper and Ross Cooper; his mother-in-law, Lucille Lindsey of Quanah; and his cousin, Carol Henderson of Burkburnett.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandparents, Ryall and Pearl Henderson.

He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his deep love for family, and the kindness and enthusiasm he carried into every season of life.
