David Kerwyn McSpadden, born January 31, 1945, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, in Crowell. His life will be honored with a funeral service at the Church of Christ on Monday, August 10th, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Quanah Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 to 7 p.m.

David was born as a triplet to Kerwyn and Erma Faye (Camp) McSpadden. He achieved a bachelor's degree from MSU and married Donna Jean Naylor in 1966. He retired from a fulfilling career as an engineering technician with the Texas Railroad Commission. His love for horses, ranching, roping, welding, and western movies was well known, as was his commitment to his faith, having preached at the Church of Christ in Quanah, Lockett, Thalia, and Crowell.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Donna Jean McSpadden; cousin Shannon McSpadden; nieces Amy Ames and Rachel Naylor; brothers-in-law Gary Naylor and wife Mary Ann and Jimmy Naylor; as well as great-niece Heather and great-nephew Austin. He was predeceased by his cherished triplet sisters, Mary Patterson and Judy Allen.
