Delton Eugene Parkhill passed away Sunday morning, April 12, 2026, in Crowell, Texas.

Delton was born April 2, 1939, in Crowell to Willie Lynn and Ella Mae (Athey) Parkhill. He married Mary Ann Turner on August 10, 1963, in Crowell. Delton was a member of the Methodist church and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Throughout his life, Delton worked as a farmer and mechanic and owned various businesses. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and was known for his hard work and love of the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Parkhill of Crowell; his sons, Gerry Parkhill and Brad Parkhill, both of Crowell; his son-in-law, Wendell Barberee of Enid, Oklahoma; his grandsons, Jeffery Barberee of Denton, Scotty Barberee of Vernon, Jacob Parkhill of Frisco, and Ethan Parkhill of Frisco; his granddaughter, Jacie Parkhill of Vernon; and his brother, Ray Parkhill and wife Becky of Denton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ella Mae Parkhill; his daughter, Angie Lee Barberee; his brother-in-law, Bill Barker; his sister-in-law, Pansy Nell Turner Barker; his sisters, Hazel McCurley, Venita Whitley, and Winnie Henslee; his brother, Hansel Parkhill; and his nephew, Dennis McCurley.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
