Dibreal "Dib" Jason
Deal
Nov 5, 1977 — Aug 14, 2026
Dibreal “Dib” Jason Deal, 48, of Sweeny, Texas, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 14, 2026, in Quanah, Texas.
Born in Modesto, California, Dib was the son of David and Patricia (Ellis) Deal. He grew up in Porum, Oklahoma, where he played baseball and proudly took the field as a pitcher for his school team. His love of the outdoors and his adventurous spirit remained a part of him throughout his life.
Dib spent 29 years building a career in the industrial and crane industry. He began his career as an ironworker, then worked as a rigger before ultimately becoming a highly skilled crane operator. He was "The Real Deal". He was known for his dedication, reliability, and pride in his work. Throughout the many years he spent traveling and working alongside his coworkers, he formed deep and lasting friendships. His coworkers became much more than people he worked with—they became his extended family.
Dib was known for his unwavering loyalty—to his family, his friends, and his career. He was the kind of person people could depend on, and he formed bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Outside of work, Dib loved being on the water and enjoyed all things boating, beaching, and fishing. He loved riding his Harley and spending time on the golf course. But above all, Dib cherished time with the people and animals he loved most. He treasured his two sons, his grandchildren, his nieces and nephews, and his beloved wife, Amanda. He also had a special place in his heart for “his girls,” his dogs, Nala and Molly.
Dib married the love of his life, Amanda Pendley, on September 25, 2015, in Panhandle, Texas. Together, they built and shared a life filled with love, adventure, family, and countless memories.
Dib is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Deal, of Sweeny, Texas; his sons, Zachery Scheulen and Jayson Deal, both of Oklahoma; and his cherished grandchildren, Naomi Scheulen, Kash, Mason, Kaliber, and Hayzlee Deal. He is also survived by his sister, Carey Deal; his parents; his nieces and nephews; and a large extended family of coworkers and friends who loved him dearly.
Dib was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eules and Janette Deal; his maternal grandparents, Pete and Betty Ellis; his cousins, Stephanie McGill and Timothy Metcalf; and his uncle, Charles Ellis.
Dib leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, hard work, adventure, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, his coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The memories he created with those he loved will remain in their hearts forever.
Cremation was carried out according to the family’s wishes. A memorial will be held at a later date.
