Donald Wade Sellers died Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was 81.
Born January 22, 1936, in Quanah Texas, to Leo Wade Sellers and Hazel Coker Sellers, Donald spent his early years in Quanah and the remainder of most of his life at San Angelo State Hospital, San Angelo, Texas. He has lived in a group home in San Angelo for the last 3 years.
Donald loved taking walks, riding his bicycle, playing his guitar, and singing. Donald loved for "his people" to come see him and take him to town where he was known by so many people he had "worked with" through the years. He loved going to town to get Hamburgers and Coco Cola Classic!
Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Smith Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, November 6, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in Quanah Memorial Park. Rev. Wayne Hollinshead will officiate.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Leo Wade Sellers; step mother, Frances Sellers; his mother, Hazel Coker Bostick; and step father JB Bostick; two sisters, Patsy Ruth Davis and Cynthia Sellers; and a brother, Bonnon Leo Sellers.
Donald is survived by brothers Jimmie Sellers, and wife Theresa, of Altus, Oklahoma, Michael Sellers and wife, Janice of Quanah, Texas and Leon Sellers, and wife Debbie, of Vernon Texas. He is also survived by niece Karen Page, and husband Bradley, of Wichita Falls, and Carla Smith, and husband Billy, of Enid, Oklahoma
Donald was loved and will be missed by a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
