Doris Ann Ware, 71, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020 in Quanah, Texas. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 3 ^rd at the First Christian Church in Quanah, interment will follow at Goodlet Cemetery.

Doris Branch was born November 14, 1948 in Electra, Texas. She was the eighth of ten children born to Claude and Annie Mae (Heffafinger) Branch. She married Jimmie K. Ware Sr. on December 6, 1968 in Quanah. Together they raised 3 children. A loving mother and homemaker, Doris worked in the elementary school cafeteria and at Rustic Relics.

Doris enjoyed crocheting, tending to her flowers, and caring for her pets. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, most especially over the holidays.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Ware, Sr. of Quanah; one son, Jimmie K. Ware, Jr. and wife Rachel of Houston; 2 daughters, Donna Gomez and husband David of Quanah, and Misty Ware and Cheston Thomas of Wichita Falls, Texas; 2 brothers-Ralph Branch of Eunice, New Mexico, and Ferrell Branch and wife Karen of Electra, Texas; 9 grandchildren-Malorie Graham, Ra-Shon-trel Carter, Ozlyn Moore, Jenzen Rivera, Tamia Thomas, Kolbi Gomez, Stetson Ware, Stoney Ware, and Chezleigh Thomas; 4 great grandchildren-Tyce Byrd, Kingston Tolbert, Trayzen Tolbert, and Brylee Mae Gesser.
