Dorothy Jackson, 61, passed away Wednesday evening, May 4 ^th in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Quanah. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is planned for 6-7 p.m., Friday evening, May 13 ^th at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Dorothy Elizabeth Watkins was born June 11, 1960, in Quanah, Texas, to Ernest Sonny Watkins and Dorothy Lee Pate Watkins. She married Gerald Jackson on November 11, 1977 in Quanah. Together they raised 3 children. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was an active participant in the Missionary Society.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald Jackson of Quanah; a son Germont Jackson, and wife Deanna, of Cibola, Texas; 2 daughters, Tricia and Kimberly Jackson, both of Quanah; three brothers, Johnnie Watkins of Gould, Oklahoma; Billy Earl Johnson of Joplin, Missouri, Lonnie Watkins, of Hollis, Oklahoma; one sister, Idamae Mitchell, and husband, John, of Quanah; 8 grandchildren, Christian, Jada, Brooklyn, Jaiden, Jordan, Jaise, Sydni, and Liam Jackson.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Sidney and Ronnie Watkins.

The family requests that memorials be made to Missionary Society at Macedonia Baptist Church.
