Erin Sherman Honea passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held from 7 – 8:30 p.m., Thursday, December 21st at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30 p.m., January 6, 2024, at Quanah Country Club. Texas Tech attire encouraged.

Erin Laine Sherman Honea was born October 26, 1978 to Danny Charles Sherman and Nesa R. Sherman in Portsmouth, Virginia. Erin was a 1997 graduate of Quanah High School. She attended Texas Tech University and later moved to Dallas for work, where she made many lifelong friends. She moved from Dallas to Wichita Falls and continued making more lifelong friends.  She met the love of her life in 2013 and moved back to Quanah. Erin married Josh Honea on June 4, 2016, and she proceeded to be the very best mom to 3 kids: Justin of Altus and fiancé Jacelyn, Jaron of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and Jacelyn Honea of Quanah.

Erin was affectionately known as "E". There was never any doubt of her love for Quanah Indian Sports and the many miles travelled chasing games. As well as the love she had for her Texas Tech Red Raiders, Boston Red Sox, and Green Bay Packers. She was also a "dog whisperer". Words cannot express how much family and friends will miss Erin.
