Eulalia Ritchie died Saturday morning, October 21, 2017. She was 90.

Eulalia Lowder was born May 17, 1927 to Alvin and Fay (Beason) Lowder, in Magazine, Arkansas. She married Joe Eaphern Ritchie on April 2, 1949, in Elk City, Oklahoma.

She worked as a waitress, ironer, and babysitter – becoming a special granny to many children. Eulalia was a member of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Hoover, of Quanah; a sister, Thelma Myers (J.W. Berry), of Elk City, OK; grandchildren, Brook and Billy Oliver, of Elgin, OK, Dale and Robbin Ritchie of Quanah, Lacee Hoover of Quanah; special adopted daughter, Penny Buchanan, of Walters, OK; 4 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many "adopted grandchildren-in-love".  Eulalia was loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ritchie, in 1994; her son, Joe Marshall Ritchie, in 2007; 3 brothers; and many other loved ones.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., graveside, Quanah Memorial Park. Rev. Wayne Hollinshead will officiate.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
