Floyd Wayne Belcher, Sr., 79, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at this home in Quanah. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12 ^th at the First Christian Church with Rev. Wayne Hollinshead officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park.

Floyd was born October 12, 1940, in Quanah, to Orville Lee and Pearl Dean (Doty) Belcher. He was married to Patricia Lea Podrovitz on July 11, 1960 in Quanah. Floyd lived in Amarillo for 10 years, but spent most of his life in Quanah. He worked for Georgia Pacific for 32 years, and was also a certified mower repairman. He enjoyed playing Bingo and scratch off tickets. Floyd was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include a son James Belcher of Quanah; 3 daughters: Jan (Lupe) Guzman of Texarkana, Arkansas, Belinda Belcher of Quanah, and Gina (Alan) Denham of Quanah; 1 daughter-in-law: Fran Belcher of Quanah; 6 grandchildren: Jennifer (Steven) Welsh of Ft. Worth, Geoffrey (Christina) Guzman of Texarkana, Texas, Christopher Guzman of White Settlement, Texas, Stefan (Traci) Belcher of Sweetwater, Texas, Rani Belcher of Quanah, and Allie Denham of Quanah; 4 great grandchildren: Olivia Guzman and Adrian Guzman of Texarkana, Texas, Chloe Belcher of Sweetwater, and Stetson Newton of Azle, Texas, and a 5th great grandchild on the way.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, on June 14, 2009; a son, Floyd Belcher, Jr., on November 4, 2011; a daughter, Mary Belcher, on January 1, 2016; his parents; his brother; and 3 sisters.
