Frankie Marquart, 89, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 30 ^th , 2020 in Vernon, Texas.  A graveside service is planned for 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2021 at Quanah Memorial Park. Rev. Monte Lumpkin will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, January 3 ^rd at Smith Funeral Home.

Frankie June Pruitt was born June 2, 1931 in Quanah, to Andrew Franklin Pruitt and Myrtle Ione Grinslade Pruitt.  She married Leasel Hollis Marquart on July 29, 1949, in Quanah, and together they raised three children. Frankie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Quanah and the Women's VFW Auxillary. She worked as a millwright, and was a past employee of the Quanah Police Department and Hardeman County Sheriff's Department, as well as Associate Director of Security at Center South. She was an amazing cook, loved traveling, gardening, and hosting family reunions.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Marquart (Jill) of Wichita, Kansas; Mike Marquart (Sherri Duncan) of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Lawana Bivins (Sammy) of Chillicothe, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Frankie was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, and a grandson, Jacob.

The family suggests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels.
