Frieda Mae Thomas, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Terrell, Texas. A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Quanah Memorial Park.

Frieda Mae Cooper was born February 4, 1929, in Lazare, Texas, to Doyle Bevel and Bessie (Slaton) Cooper. She married Robert Gerald Owens February 4, 1947 in Quanah. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2007. She married J.C. Thomas on December 23, 2013 and they made their home in Terrell, Texas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She loved arts and crafts projects.

She is survived by her husband, J.C. Thomas; a daughter, Melinda Neel; one son, James Owens; 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her son, Robert G. Owens, on June 13, 2017.
