Gwendolyn Sills Clark, 89, of Quanah, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November, 11th at Chillicothe Cemetery.

Gwen was born on July 31,1931 at the home of her grandparents, south of Chillicothe, TX, to James Carl (Bud) and Syble Reynolds Sills. She was a lifelong resident of Hardeman County. On August 28,1949 she married Sterling R. Clark in Chillicothe. They moved to Quanah in 1957. Gwendolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a retired secretary/bookkeeper and a homemaker.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Sterling R. Clark, one son, Sterling Roddy Clark, Jr of Chillicothe, one daughter, Barbara Gilliam (Teddy) of Quanah. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Brandy Mettes ( Rob) of Red Lodge, MT; James Clark of Amarillo; Justin Gilliam (Sallie) of Quanah,TX; Joe Gilliam ( Cari) of Princeton, TX; Garrett Gilliam ( Whitney) of Dalhart, TX; Kati Sherman ( Ben) of Quanah,TX; Kyle Gilliam (Elissa)of Washington, D.C.; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Gwendolyn is preceded in death by her daughter-in law Stephanie Clark.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
