Helen Moore was born in Quanah Texas on April 20, 1943.  She accepted and committed herself to Jesus Christ at Macedonia Baptist Church where she was a long time member.  Helen graduated from Douglas High in Quanah, TX. Helen, better known to us as Mother, was an inspired Christian who took pleasure in making others smile.  Anyone who came in contact with her will remember this wonderful woman for her kindness, smile, and always a word of inspiration.  The community has lost a milestone and she will greatly be missed.

Preceding her in death are her parents Jerry and Buler Moore, as well as her siblings, JB Moore, Joe Moore, Archie Moore, Albert Moore, Elbert Moore, Jerriene Toms, Pearline Houston, and Emma Jean Williams.

Helen is survived by her son Allen Archell Moore and by grandchildren Ozlyn, Kiana, Allen Jr, and Jasmine Moore, as well as a host of nephews and nieces.  She also helped rear two nieces (Twanda and Chere) and one nephew (Albert Moore).

A visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, June 23, 2017, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Quanah.  Reverend McGee will officiate, along with Pastor Callins and Sam Doby.  Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
