Isabel Ramirez Sanchez, Jr., died Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was 67.

Isabel was born in Uvalde, Texas, on November 28, 1950, to Isabel Ramirez Sanchez, Sr., and Christina Ramirez Sanchez. He married Leticia Gonzales on October 21, 1969 in Quanah, Texas.  Together, they raised 4 children.

Isabel was employed by Georgia Pacific in Acme for 35 years. He lived most of his life in Quanah, and was a Catholic.

He is survived by his wife, Leticia Sanchez, of the home in Quanah; 3 sons – Isabel Ramirez Sanchez, III, of Amarillo, Texas; Orlando Gonzalez Sanchez, of Quanah; Lee Roy Gonzalez Sanchez, of San Diego, CA; 1 daughter – LaNita Gonzalez Sanchez Bettag, of Quanah; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Lou Gonzalez Sanchez, in 1980.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Quanah with Fr. Philip Brembah officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under direction of Smith Funeral Home.  A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
