Jacqueline Kyle "Jackie" Fisher, 89, of Quanah, died Tuesday evening, December 19, 2017.
Jackie was born March 31, 1928, in Quanah, Texas, to Eugene and Nell (Beard) Kyle. She married Alvin W. Fisher on January 1, 1946, in Quanah. Their union was blessed with the birth of two daughters, Vicky and Kylene.
Jackie was a graduate of Quanah High School and a member of the First Baptist Church. Her biggest hobby was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also the co-owner of Tumbleweed Western Wear, where she enjoyed visiting with her friends and customers.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicky Nicholas (Sammy Don), and Kylene Gillespie (Bob); three granddaughters, Jaime Mathews (Denis), Jenny Jo Barker (Nathan), Jodi Gillespie (Trey Rusk); and four great grandchildren, Kyle Duncan, Kason Mathews, Henry Barker and Mabry Barker, all of Quanah.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Fisher, in 2014; a sister, Bobbie Gene Kyle; and her son-in-law, Joe Lindsey.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Quanah, with Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials be made to Hardeman County Hospital Foundation, 402 Mercer Street, Quanah, Texas 79252.
