James Patrick Davis, 87, of Quanah, passed away on Sunday, October 18 ^th in Crowell.  A graveside service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 26 ^th at Quanah Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at Smith Funeral Home.

James was born on May 25, 1933 in Quanah to Arthur Lee and Ava Maude (Milligan) Davis. He married Bonnie June Calhoun on December 15, 1978 in Wichita Falls. James worked as a welder, and boot maker, and has been a resident of Quanah almost all of his life.  James was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include 2 sons, Rockey Alan Davis, and wife Shirley, of Lewiston, Idaho and Stanley Wayne Davis of Quanah; 1 daughter, Vickie Diann Davis of Dallas, Texas; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his wife, Bonnie, in July of 2018; and a son, Mark Stephen Davis on February 8, 2015.
