Craig "Dumpy" Newsom, 65, passed away Monday morning, January 8, 2024. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

James Craig Newsom was born December 12, 1958, in Quanah, to Paul James Newsom and Evelyn Lantz Newsom. Known to many as "Dumpy", he was a one of a kind, "life of the party" who enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was proud of his kids and grandkids; and loved to fish. He was a past employee and owner of Newsom Auto Supply.

Survivors include his daughters, Jamie Orr and husband David of Amarillo, Shelby Parr and husband Grady of Childress; son, Steven Newsom of Quanah; grandchildren, Connor Parr and Ansley Parr; forever family, Charles and Mary Nell Reynolds and Debbie Reynolds Gillespie. Dumpy was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gary and Randy Newsom.
