Janie Martinez, 66, of Quanah, Texas, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 27, 2024.   She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and woman of God.  She was born to Manuel and Maria Jalomo in Turrell, Arkansas on January 9, 1958.

Janie was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, and church community.  Janie's Christian faith was the essential part of her life.  She spent her life selflessly serving her family and community with great joy.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Maria Jalomo.  Her sister Teresa Jalomo. Her brothers; Manuel Jr.  Jalomo and Juan Jalomo.

She is survived by her husband Oscar Martinez of 47 years, her children; Cynthia and Ted Jackson of Burkburnett, Coy and Lois Martinez of Wichita Falls, Ray and Lynn Martinez of Boys Ranch, Velen and Dusty Hamby of Quanah, Carlos and Amber Martinez of Quanah, Rebecca and Kevan Jowers of Iowa Park, Lucas Martinez of Wichita Falls.  Her siblings; Kenny and Mary Rethke, Ramon and Carmen Garcia, Freddy Jalomo, Mike Nedla, Chano and Liz Jalomo, Johaquin and Lynn Jalomo, Tony and Mona Jalomo.  She has 19 grandchildren: Chavaz, Paradize, Eternity, Taylor, Gabi, Dominic, Zach, Mia, Addy, Aaden, Vicky, Destine, Jordan, Rhett, Tatum, Caleb, Joshua, Joseph, Benjamin and 3 great grandchildren; Bentley, Kashden, Nylah who knew her as "mamos."  Her lifelong best friends James and Geneva Veatch from San Antonio, Texas.

A service will be held to celebrate Janie's life on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 10:00 am at The Temple of Ebenezer Church located at 303 Floyd Street, Quanah, Texas
