Jean Bryant, of Quanah, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in Vernon, Texas. A funeral service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 19 ^th at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeremy Walters will officiate, with interment following at Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jean Bailey was born in Quanah on May 30, 1930 to the late James Adelbert Bailey and Cleo Sparkman Bailey. She lived in Dallas for 30 years before returning to Quanah in 2001. Prior to retirement, Jean was a courtesy car driver with Evans Pontiac. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Quanah.

Survivors include a son, Gary Gene Bryant of Portland, Oregon; a daughter, Brenda Davis of Quanah; a brother, Carlton Bailey of Garland, Texas, 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Donald Bailey.
