Jerald Jowers, 73, lifetime resident of Quanah, passed away Tuesday evening, November 16, 2021. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 19 ^th at Goodlett Cemetery. Rev. Monte Lumpkin will officiate.

Jerald Leon Jowers was born in Quanah on April 27, 1948 to the late Horton and Dora (Belcher) Jowers. He retired from the City of Quanah after 31 years, where he worked as the waste water treatment plant operator. Jerald and Sharon Brandon were married July 23, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada, however, they were together for 49 years. Jerald loved fishing, playing his guitar, and working outside in his yard.  He was particularly fond of his 1954 tractor. He was a private man but enjoyed being a good citizen to his neighborhood and helping his neighbors.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Brandon of Quanah; 2 brothers, Earl Jowers, and wife Kathy, of Quanah; and Tony Jowers, and wife Carla, of Brownwood; a daughter, Debbie Riddle of Arlington; one grandson, Zack Riddle; sister-in-law, Janet Jowers; a special sister-in-law, Brenda Carpenter, of Quanah, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Landers; one brother, Lester Jowers; and a nephew, Jason Jowers.
