Johnny Rodriguez Jr. passed away at the age of 47 Thursday evening, May 18, 2023 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  A memorial is planned for 2:00 p.m. at the Quanah Community Center on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Johnny Rodriguez Jr. was born on November 19, 1975 in Plainview Texas to Johnny Benitez Rodriguez and Frances Estrada Rodriguez. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1995. Johnny married Tracy McCathern on June 4, 2007. Together they raised a daughter Skyler.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the love he had for his family.

Survivors include his wife Tracy of Vernon; daughter Skyler Rodriguez, son-in-law Gerardo Olivas, his two grandchildren, whom he adored, Kellin and Eleana Olivas of Davidson, Oklahoma; sister Marie Trones, brother-in-law Finney Trones of Quanah, TX; nieces Marisa Coey of Lubbock, Texas and Ariana Cardenas of Quanah, Texas; nephew Marcus Coey of Sweetwater, Texas.

Johnny was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister Rita Rodriguez.
