Joy Dee Randolph, 91, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Crowell. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 4th at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hulon officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park. Visitation will be held in the chapel, Tuesday evening, 6-7 p.m.
Joy Dee was born November 2, 1932 in Quanah. She was the daughter of J.D. and Alta Pritchard and the oldest of seven children. Joy graduated from Quanah High School with the class of 1950. She married Freddie Randolph of Eldorado, Oklahoma on April 13, 1952. Joy and Freddie operated their grocery store, "Farmer's Market Grocery" from 1971 to 1989. Joy was a member of the First Methodist Church in Quanah; and a member of Woodmen of the World for over 60 years.
Survivors include one son, Randy Randolph and Janice of Quanah; one daughter, Tammy Martinez and Ruben, Jr., of Quanah; three grandchildren, Melissa Robbins and Brent of Wichita Falls, Austin Martinez of Wichita Falls, Jacie Browning and Grant of Amarillo; four great grandchildren, Brenton Robbins, Beckham Robbins, Lincoln Robbins, and Katie Rose Browning; a brother, Jerry Pritchard of Alvarado; and one sister, Susie Bagby of Quanah.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freddie; sister, Sherry Trammell; and brothers, Bobby, Lonnie, and Johnnie Pritchard.
The family suggests memorials be made to the First Methodist Church in Quanah, P.O. Box 397, Quanah, Texas 79252.
