Karen Choat, 76, passed away Wednesday morning, February 16, 2022 in Vernon, Texas. A funeral service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19 ^th at First Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Eagerton officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 6-7 p.m., Friday evening at Smith Funeral Home.

Karen Louise Driver was born in Quanah, Texas on January 14, 1946 to the late Oran and Reath Driver. She was a graduate of Eldorado High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Quanah. She married R.M. Choat on August 10, 1962, and together they raised three sons. Prior to retirement, she worked in domestic sales. Her sons describe her as a very Christian woman.

Survivors include her sons, Zachary Choat, and wife Molly, Tony Choat, and Stacy Choat; grandchildren, Zane and Lindy, Tyler, Colby, Zachery, Adam, Erica, Ciara, and Ashley; great grandchildren, Gil, Jr., Taven, Kasen, Cooper, Raylen, Tripp, and Collin

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, R.M. Choat, and a grandchild, Coby.
