Obituary

Katie Wiseman passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 24 th in Vernon.  A funeral service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 30, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Quanah with Rev. Josh Crow and Rev. John Spangler officiating. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, at Smith Funeral Home, from 7-8 p.m.

Tammie Kay Honea was born in Quanah on November 11, 1960 to the late Oscar and Roxie Honea. She married David Wiseman on May 20, 1977 and together they raised two children. Kay was a member of Pease River Cowboy Church. She was a past employee of Quanah Nursing Home, Crowell Cap Factory and Subway in Quanah.

Survivors include her children, Charity Jowers of Seymour, and Dusty Wiseman of Quanah; 3 brothers, Tim Honea of Quanah, Vance Honea of Phoenix, Arizona, and Josh Honea of Quanah; 1 sister, Rita Colbert of Quanah; 7 grandchildren, Ryan Ray, Jay Jowers, Erik Jowers, Noah Wiseman, Abby Wiseman, Desmond Claudrick, and Jahleel Claudrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Wiseman, in 2012; a sister, Amy Honea; and a grandson, Taylor Wiseman.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Pease River Cowboy Church.
