Lee Eric “Eric” Ramos, 54, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 15, 2026. Born May 30, 1972, Eric leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, memories, and a personality that was uniquely his own.

Eric was the youngest child of Nicolas Garza Ramos and Alicia Ramirez Ramos, both of whom preceded him in death. He was confident, strong, funny, and always had a story to tell. He loved sports and excelled at them, first as a talented soccer player and later as a high school football player. He also enjoyed a cold beer and a good laugh.

After high school, Eric worked as a cook in several restaurants. He loved being in the kitchen and especially enjoyed preparing food and serving others.

For nearly eight years, Eric shared a special relationship with Janelle Tyler and her two daughters. She was the love of his life. Eric loved Lake Murray, traveling, movies, and spending time in the backyard with the chickens, ducks, dogs, birds, and Janelle, where they would sit and “BS” about anything and everything.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents and older brothers, Rolando and Domingo Ramos. He is survived by his brother, Nick Garza Ramos Jr.; sisters Rose Sturdivant (Douglas), Becky Thompson (James), Roxanna Stovall (Bill), and Theresa Escobedo (Henry); and his nieces and nephews, Neal Ramos, Shannon Sturdivant, Megan Powers, Nicki Ramos Villegas, Matthew Ramos, Kristina Ramos, Billy Bruce Stovall III, Kathryn Stovall Curling, Steven Barrientos, and Gregg Barrientos IV, along with several great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.

Those who knew Eric will remember his stories, laughter, smile, love of sports, meals he prepared, and the many moments that were simply “Eric being Eric.”

Those memories are his to leave behind, and ours to keep.
