Lyndia Sweatman, 82, passed away at her home in Quanah on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16 ^th at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Smith officiating.

Lyndia Gayle Wells was born in Quanah, Texas on May 10, 1940, to the late Elbert and Marjorie Lorene (Holland) Wells. She married Robert Lee Sweatman, in Wichita Falls, on December 22, 1962. Prior to her retirement she was a Savings and Loan Comptroller. Lyndia was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Jerry Wells, and wife Helen of Amarillo, Texas; sister, Sandra Hill, and husband Clyde of Eldorado, Oklahoma; step- daughter, Carol Bonvillian of Schriever, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews; also, close friend and coworker, Patrick Williams and Laura Egger of Wichita Falls, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2018; a brother, Clyde Wells; both of her parents; and a sister, Joyce Trammell.

The family suggests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church Maintenance Fund, PO Box 681, Quanah, Texas 79252.
