Marijo "Jo" Andrus, 88, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, in Olney, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28th, at First Baptist Church in Quanah, with Dr. Derrell Monday officiating. Interment will follow at Goodlett Cemetery.

Marijo was born on April 15, 1936, in Quanah, Texas, to William J. Huffman and Faye Gordon Huffman. She graduated from Quanah High School in 1954. Marijo dedicated many years as a 4-H leader, guiding and inspiring young minds. She worked as a substitute mail carrier, and her career included roles at Coca-Cola in Anchorage, Alaska, where she served for 21 years, as well as positions at Hardeman Grain and Seed Co. in Chillicothe, Texas, and the Hardeman County Justice of the Peace Office. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Quanah.

On October 22, 1977, Marijo married Ray Andrus, who preceded her in death on March 16, 2014.

She is survived by her loving family: Daughters: Randa Betts and husband Todd of Olney, Texas; Sandra Romero and husband Ed of Newton, Texas; Candace Andrus of Austin, Texas; Son: Ray Andrus, Jr. of Beaumont, Texas; Grandchildren: Jay D. Ray (Amanda), Kade Betts (Alyssa), Halli Mankins (Reed), Dan Andrus, Justin Andrus (Amber), Jessica Andrus, Griffin Atkins, Ledawn Connolly (Owen), Morgan Romero, Emily Romero; Great-grandchildren: Wesley Collins, Koda Ray, Kobyn Ray, Cutler Ray, Kameron Betts, Chayton Ray, Brayson Betts, Logan Betts, Rhett Mankins, Larsen Mankins, Levi Ratcliff, Lauren Andrus, Jax Nelson, Sydney Smith, Zion Connolly, Relena Connolly, Corbin Andrus; Great-great-grandson: Colter Bolf.

Marijo was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles Lin Huffman and Robert G. Huffman; sisters, Billie Cloe Huffman and Ileta Bancroft; and great-granddaughters, Leighton and Landrie Mankins.

The family suggests memorials be made to Family Life Center or the First Baptist Church Sack Lunch Program.

Marijo will be remembered for her steadfast faith, community involvement, and the love she shared with family and friends. Her legacy of kindness, hard work, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her
