Martin Dave Sanchez, "Mark Sanchez", passed away Saturday evening, June 27, 2020, in Quanah.  He was 65. A funeral service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 3 ^rd at Quanah Memorial Park. Rev. Sam Doby will officiate.

He was born March 9, 1955, in Oklahoma City, to Trinidad and Marcelina (Ramirez) Sanchez. He served as a Sargent in the U.S. Army for 4 years; was a Quanah Fireman for 20 years; and retired as a Park Ranger from Copper Breaks State Park. Mark was married to Joyce Griffith on June 4, 1976 in Quanah. Together, they raised one child, Jason.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Sanchez of Quanah; son, Jason Sanchez of Vernon; 3 brothers, Tommy Sanchez of Oklahoma City, Dan Sanchez and Darrell Sanchez of Yukon, Oklahoma; 4 sisters, Nedra Sanchez, Kathy Rico of Silver City, NM, Gloria Vallejos of Dexter, NM, Delia Winans of Oklahoma City; and 3 grandchildren, Jaselynn, Eva, and Sean.

The family suggests memorials be made to Quanah Volunteer Fire Department.
