Mary Connie (Scoggins) Brown passed away at her home in Wichita Falls, Sunday, October 6, 2019. She was 74.

A funeral service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Quanah, officiated by Rev. Monte Lumpkin and Rev. Wayne Hollinshead. Interment will follow at Goodlett Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.

There will be a memorial service held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23 ^rd at Bent Tree Fellowship Church in Carrollton, Texas.

Connie was born March 27, 1945 in Knox City, Texas to C.E. and Bernice (Byrd) Scoggins. She married Richard Brown, May 15, 1965 at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls.

Connie was a member of Bent Tree Fellowship Church in Carrollton, where she served in Caring Ministry and Women's Bible Study. She worked with her husband as Administrative Assistance for his New York Life Insurance Agency in Farmers Branch for 43 years; and was on the Hospitality Team for the City of Farmers Branch. She was active in Tres Dias in 2002 and served on several teams of Tres Dias.

She is survived by husband, Richard Brown, of Wichita Falls; a son, Stephen (Leslie ) Brown of Frisco, Texas; granddaughters, Lauren (Dillon) Rhea of Austin, Delaney Brown and Melana Brown of Frisco, Texas; 3 brothers, Carl Scoggins and Elbert Scoggins of Quanah, Doug Scoggins of Goodlett; 3 sisters, Ellen Edwards of Vernon, Helen Scoggins and Maxine Rhodes of Quanah.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
