Mary Antonia Garcia, of Quanah, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018. She was 98.

A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7th, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Quanah. Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under direction of Smith funeral Home.  Rosary will be given Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary was born February 17, 1920, in San Antonio, Texas, to Isabel "Sam" and Vivianita (Hinojosa) Cuellar. She married Jake Garcia in 1940.  He preceded her in death on December 27, 1983.

Mary was a homemaker, and worked at Quanah Memorial Hospital, in the dietary department, for 32 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mary is survived by 2 daughters: Mary Ann Duncan of Quanah, and Janie Shahan of Quanah; her grandchildren:  Michelle, Meredith, Melinda, Monique, Maralee, Angel, Aaryn, Siobhan, and Zebulon; and 14 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Al Garcia; 1 brother, and 7 sisters.
