Melba Naron, 91, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 30, 2023 in Wichita Falls. A funeral service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James Naron of Colorado City, Colorado will officiate.

Melba Jean Davis was born July 3, 1932 to Roy and Olive Keenan Davis. She married Maurice "Shorty" Naron on February 14, 1947 in Vernon, Texas. Melba had worked as a factory supervisor, Pizza Hut manager, and a farmer. She was a member of North Groesbeck Church of Christ. Melba loved kids and had a big heart.

She is survived by her family: Evon Wruble or Amarillo; Gwen Ricks of Childress; Richard Naron and Lisa of Dennison; Debbie Nelson of Quanah; Larry Naron of Quanah; James Naron and Ann of Colorado City, Colorado; Cheryl Naron of McDade; Wes Naron of Round Rock; Peggy Boone and Larry of Hallsville, Texas; Matt Martin and family of Northside; Halee Martin of Chillicothe; and Theresa Martin and Don of Chillicothe.
