Milly Burnett Greening, 89, of Quanah, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 21, 2020 in Crowell. A graveside service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 26th at Quanah Memorial Park. Dr. David Smith will officiate.

Mildred Ruth Smothermon was born August 3, 1931 in Prairie Hill, Oklahoma to Thomas and Vassie (Cantrell) Smothermon.  She had been a resident of Quanah since 1964.  Milly retired after working as a clerk for M.E. Moses and Amarillo Road Construction. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and taking care of her flowers.

Survivors include her three children:  daughter, Cathy Simmons of Gulfport, Mississippi, son, Ted Burnett, Jr. of Quanah, and daughter, Tammy Callaway, and husband Jacky of Quanah; one sister, Dorothy Sheffy of Dimmitt, Texas; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial be made to the Alzheimers Association.
