Musette W. Dowlen, 98, of Lazare, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017. She was born June 22, 1919, in Childress County, Texas, to the late Earl V. and Ruby McNeill Perkins.  She was a retired home economics teacher, having finished her teaching career at Chillicothe ISD.  She was pre-deceased by her husband, Jack F. Dowlen and a grandson, John J.T. Dowlen.  She leaves behind a son, Stephen J. Dowlen and wife, Helenarline; two grandchildren; LTCDR Isaac W. Dowlen, USNR, and wife, Kristen, and Rachel D. Rodriguez, MD, and husband, Anthony; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Quanah Memorial Park.  Rev. Monte Lumpkin will officiate.
