Navy Seal Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Nathan Gage Leven Ingram, age 27, was a beloved husband, son, brother, and a friend who was lost at sea while on a night mission off the coast of Somalia.  A team of US Navy SEALs boarded a ship smuggling Iranian missile components bound for the Houthi militants in Yemen.  During the mission, a SEAL team member fell into the water at which time Gage quickly jumped in for an attempt to rescue him.  After an exhausting 10-day search, they were considered missing & deceased as of January 12, 2024.

Gage was known for his amazing smile and infectious laugh.  He was also known for his generosity to anyone he met and was marked by his selfless dedication to helping and serving others. He graduated from Byron Nelson High School, Trophy Club, TX in 2014 and completed his degree in Kinesiology at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX in 2019. Gage enlisted in the Navy on September 25, 2019, and graduated bootcamp on November 22, 2019.  He graduated Basic Underwater Demolition /SEAL Training Class 346 in December 2021 and reported to his first operational tour as SEAL Team THREE.  Gage's short time as a Navy SEAL, he learned the values of discipline, hard work, and courage.

Gage's awards and decorations include the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service medal, and other personal and unit awards.

Gage was an amazing man, and the world has truly lost a hero. He was loved by many and will be missed deeply. His memory will be forever cherished, and his contributions to our country will never be forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Yvonne "Poochie" Davis; paternal grandparents, Chester Leven Ingram (namesake) & Madeline Poe, and great grandfather (namesake) Nathan William Davis.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Jewel Ingram of Oahu, HI; his mother & stepdad, Kristi & Danny Hughes of Decatur, TX; father, Chet Ingram of Roanoke, TX, sister & fiancé', Jaci Ingram & Ryan Staffileno of Lewisville, TX. Stepbrother & wife, Tyler & Lexie Hughes of Paradise, TX; Stepsister & husband, Deidra & Terry Mytopher of Fort Worth, TX. And one living grandparent, Carol "Meemaw" Davis of Jacksboro. Aunts/Uncles, Tina & Jery Mower of Jacksboro, TX, Pamela Rockey of Jacksboro, TX; Glen & Robin Ingram of Wichita Falls, TX, Ronnie & Terri Ingram of Quanah, TX, Diane & John Holt of Grapevine, TX, Suzanne Ingram of Quanah, TX, Loretta & Barney Trammell of Altus, OK, Shelli Ingram Ray of Quanah, TX, Gary Ingram of Quanah, TX & Jennifer & Derrick of Saginaw, TX.  Father-in- Law, John "PJ" Taitano of San Diego and Mother-in-law, Janet Taitano of Hawaii.  Plus, many more family members, friends, and Navy SEAL Brothers.
