Noal Wayne Brooks, Jr., of Quanah, died Thursday, August 16, 2018. He was 75.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2018, at the First Baptist church in Quanah. Rev. Mark Stripling and Rev. David Smith will officiate.  Interment will follow at Quanah Memorial Park under direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m., Sunday evening, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Noal was born on April 20, 1943, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Noal Wayne and Susie (Norris) Brooks, Sr. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1961, and served in the Army National Guard.  Noal and Patricia Woodson were married in Crowell, Texas, on February 6, 1976. He was the Captain of his family ship.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Brooks, of the home; 3 children, Jessica Colbert of Quanah, Gerald Devlin Wooten of Quanah, Tamisha Northam of Weatherford, Texas; 1 sister, Charlotte Marsalis of Grand Prairie, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Noaline Clanton, and a granddaughter, Vanah Brooks.
