Oralio Rodriguez Bernal, Sr. 89 of Chillicothe, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023,  in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Chillicothe, with Rev. Clay Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Goodlett Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Oralio was born Monday July 3, 1933 in Rockport, Texas. He was the son of the late Carlos Bernal and the late Frances Rodriguez Bernal. Oralio married Mariana Gomez on May 18, 1951 in Beeville, Texas. Oralio retired from ADM Elevator. Oralio loved fishing and doing anything outdoors. He also loved his children and grandchildren and always had a positive attitude and a very strong work ethic. Oralio and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Chillicothe, where he always loved to be.

Oralio is survived by his wife of the home Mariana Bernal, his children Luis Bernal, Tony Bernal and wife Martha, Adam Bernal and wife Pia, Mary James and husband Mark, Gracie Lewis and husband Rick and Lupe Turvaville and husband Marcus. Oralio also leaves behind eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren, one sister Mary Elida Bernal and one brother Jose Bernal.

Oralio is preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Frances Bernal, son Oralio Bernal, Jr. brothers Juan Bernal, Lupe Bernal, Carlos Bernal, and Eliodoro Bernal and one sister Cruz Villa.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8pm at Sullivan Funeral Home in Vernon, TX.
