Graveside services for Ouidon (Mathews) Preston, age 83, of Hideaway Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Preston family plot in Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery in Quanah, Texas with Pastor Monte Lumpkin officiating.

Ouidon passed away June 20, 2021, in Tyler, Texas from breast cancer and Alzheimer's. Ouidon was born in February 2, 1938 in Medicine Mound, Texas to the late Hulen Ruben and Ruth (Hendrix) Mathews. She attended Quanah Public Schools and earned a bachelor's degree from Hardin Simmons University. She was married to her high-school sweetheart, Jack Preston, for 62 years; they were both elected as class favorites in high school and she was a cheerleader. Ouidon was devoted and actively involved at Green Acres Baptist Church and volunteered with UT Health in Tyler. She loved socializing with friends, traveling, and gardening. Ouidon Preston is survived by her husband, Jack Preston, two children, Rodney and Tami, their spouses, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
